I had an interesting conversation with a building contractor earlier this month.
He was explaining some keys to his success as part of a story for “On the Job” magazine. He mentioned the importance of education—certainly nothing unusual there. Neither were the books or videos he sometimes relies on.
But he went to explain that he learns the most from “achievers.” This contractor makes it his business to surround himself with successful, positive thinking people—“People who find a way to get it done.”
Not only do they achieve their goals, but they do so with a great deal of integrity. “Making an effort to surround myself with those types of people has given me a great education,” he said.
A longer, more detailed version of his success story will run in the next issue of the magazine.
